WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED
Delivering Results for Idaho
Phil McGrane ran for Secretary of State with a simple promise: strengthen Idaho
elections, bring more transparency to government, and stand up for Idaho values.
That is exactly what he has done.
Since taking office, Phil has brought a steady, conservative, common-sense approach to
the Secretary of State’s Office. He has worked side by side with Idaho’s county clerks,
modernized outdated systems, expanded access to trusted election information, and
pushed back when Washington, D.C. tried to overreach.
The results are clear.
Idaho conducted the largest election in state history, crossed the one-million registered
voter mark, strengthened election security, improved transparency, and earned national
recognition for the way Idaho runs elections.
And Phil is just getting started.

Strengthening Idaho Elections
Phil McGrane believes Idaho elections should be easy to vote in and hard to cheat —
and that starts with doing the basics right.
As Secretary of State, Phil has worked hand in hand with Idaho’s forty-four county clerks to
run secure, accurate, and transparent elections. Together, they have conducted
statewide elections, strengthened election official training, improved election
procedures, expanded voter registration outreach, and confirmed election accuracy
through audits and recounts.
Phil has also worked with the Idaho Legislature to strengthen Idaho election law,
including stronger voter ID protections, using new technologies for improved voter roll
maintenance to remove ineligible voters, and other reforms that improve election
security, protect Idaho voters, and give the public greater confidence in the process. All
while protecting Idahoans access to the polls either by absentee voting, early voting or
on Election Day.
Phil also helped implement Governor Brad Little’s “Only Citizens Will Vote” Act,
strengthening Idaho’s work to verify voter eligibility and ensure that only U.S. citizens
vote in Idaho elections.
He partnered with county clerks to adopt the award-winning “12 Principles of Idaho
Elections” which is a shared commitment to doing things the Idaho way: elections that arelocally run, transparent, accountable, and secure.

At the same time, Phil has worked to meet voters where they are, registering
Idahoans at university football games, air shows and community events throughout the
state.

More Transparency, Less Red Tape
Phil McGrane knows Idahoans deserve a government that is open, accountable, and
easy to understand.
That is why his office launched a redesigned, award-winning VoteIdaho.gov website,
modernized campaign finance and lobbyist reporting systems, and expanded public
access to election results and transparency tools.
These improvements make it easier for Idahoans to find trusted information, follow the
process, and hold government accountable.
Phil has also worked with the Idaho Controller’s Office and Idahoans for Openness in
Government to promote transparency and make government work better for the people
it serves.

Standing Up for Idaho

Phil McGrane has never been afraid to stand up for Idaho.
He testified before Congress on election integrity, pushed back against the federal
Corporate Transparency Act, and as a member of the Executive Committee for the
Republican Secretaries of State Committee defended small business owners from
unnecessary federal mandates.
He has also served in national leadership roles with other Secretaries of State and
helped bring national election security partners to Idaho — making sure Idaho has a
seat at the table while keeping Idaho values front and center.
As a member of the Idaho Land Board, Phil has supported responsible stewardship of
Idaho’s endowment lands and natural resources. He also completed wildland firefighter
training to better understand the challenges facing Idaho’s forests, firefighters, and rural
communities.

The Work Continues
Phil McGrane has delivered real results for Idaho: secure elections, more
transparency, stronger partnerships with local officials, and a Secretary of State’s Office
that reflects Idaho common sense.
His approach is simple:
Make it easy to vote.

Make it hard to cheat.
Keep government transparent.
And always put Idaho first.
That is what Phil promised.
That is what he is delivering.
And he’s just getting started.
